Training day: 2

Yesterday we facilitated another training session at a primary school in Langa. The majority of teachers had a short-notice meeting to attend, but we made due with those that were indeed present. Because we could not do the questionnaires - everyone needs to be there - we recapped some of the previous work (digital literacy). Teachers were interested in PowerPoint, and we did a recap. Most were not overly familiar with this software, and yet, it has such a lot of 'teaching and learning' potential. Just think of all the presentations in classrooms around the world - PP provides the opportunity for an 'interactive learning experience', surely. In any case, teachers had to undergo the basic overview of what this grand program can offer. They were very excited and at the end, proclaimed that they enjoyed it very much. This was a successful introductory session and we look forward to getting into the 'meat' of things.
